This all-Canadian action drama starring Sid Sawant, Nish Raisi, Lionel Boodlal, Steve Kassan, Sachel Metoo, Afroz Khan, Shruti Shah, Jasmine Sawant, Mohsin Sabir is directed by Lily Ahluwalia and Jay Walia.
Street Soldiers is a story of a young, insecure teenager named Sunny, whose life gets turned upside down after an unfortunate turn of events. Tormented by bullies, in self-preservation, Sunny turns towards gang members for his protection. The choices he makes along the way, dictate the consequences he must face, in his life as a street soldier.
Director Lily Singh’s first independent venture a film called “I Do. Do. I?” which she produced and directed was screened at numerous film festivals and went on to win the “Gold Remi” at Houston International Film Festival for Best Short Romantic Comedy in 2010. Street Soldiers is her first full length feature as Director. Jay Walia wrote and co-directed the film “I Do. Do. I?” and teamed up again with Lily Singh for the film Street Soldiers which he directed and wrote the screenplay for. Street Soldiers has been his passion project for over four years.
