Movie Premiere Of Street Soldiers

About Time Productions is proud to announce the first screening of Street Soldiers at the TIFF Bell Lightbox Reitman Square, 350 King Street West, on Friday February 26^th.  Red Carpet at 7:30pm, Movie Premiere at 8:30pm, Cocktail Reception to follow at Malaparte.

This all-Canadian action drama starring Sid Sawant, Nish Raisi, Lionel Boodlal, Steve Kassan, Sachel Metoo, Afroz Khan, Shruti Shah, Jasmine Sawant, Mohsin Sabir is directed by Lily Ahluwalia and Jay Walia.

Street Soldiers is a story of a young, insecure teenager named Sunny, whose life gets turned upside down after an unfortunate turn of events. Tormented by bullies, in self-preservation, Sunny turns towards gang members for his protection. The choices he makes along the way, dictate the consequences he must face, in his life as a street soldier. 

Director Lily Singh’s first independent venture a film called “I Do. Do. I?” which she produced and directed was screened at numerous film festivals and went on to win the “Gold Remi” at Houston International Film Festival for Best Short Romantic Comedy in 2010.  Street Soldiers is her first full length feature as Director.  Jay Walia wrote and co-directed the film “I Do. Do. I?” and teamed up again with Lily Singh for the film Street Soldiers which he directed and wrote the screenplay for.  Street Soldiers has been his passion project for over four years.

Premiere of New Love Song "Gehra Ishq" from the movie Neeraj

Bollywood’s love song of the season comes from Sonam Kapoor’s upcoming film NEERJA and has premiered just in time for Valentine’s Day. 

This is the story of Neerja Bhanot, a 22 year old part time model, who was the head purser on the flight. Neerja had escaped an abusive marriage at a very young age and as a life change, decided to become an air hostess, subsequently impressing everyone so much that they made her a purser. Throughout the horrifying situation, Neerja didn’t succumb to her fears and instead she fought her personal demons from the past and from the minute the plane was hijacked, through the terrifying 17 hours to the grueling end, she used her courage, wits and compassion to make sure that the passengers were protected, going as far as to hiding the passports of the American passengers. Through her swift thinking and brave actions, she managed to save the lives of 359 passengers and crew on board out of 379, all at the cost of her own life.

Love Shhuda

Romance has a new name and we will get to see the story play out when Love Shhuda hits theaters. The modern day romance stars Girish Kumar and introduces Navneet Kaur Dhillon.

They always meet at the wrong place at the wrong time but their hearts always make the right connection! Gaurav and Pooja bump into each other first in London and then again three years later in Mauritius but every time the circumstances make their love story take a different turn. That’s what makes the romance of Love Shhuda that much more special. Love Shhuda is directed by Vaibhav Mishra and produced by Vijay Galani. With chart busting music by Mithoon and Parichay, Love Shuda is a romantic musical that is sure to connect with the youth and spread the message of timeless love.

Says Vijay Galani: “We have crafted a beautiful new love story with these two young actors. A modern day love story, Love Shhuda is certified fresh!”

The foot tapping music of the film will be available on TIPS Music.

Chalk n Duster

Chalk n Duster is an upcoming Bollywood movie. This film is all about teacher and student's communication. It highlights the problem of teachers and students where teaching way in the education system is changing day by day. Juhi Chawla, Shabana Azmi, Zarina Wahab, Girish Karnad and Divya Dutta playing the lead roles. Movie is Directed by Jayant Gilatar, Written by Ranjeev Verma and Neetu Verma and Produced by Amin Surani.

The film is an emotional journey of two teachers Vidya (Shabana Azmi) and Jyoti (Juhi Chawla), serving at a Mumbai–based high school. Their passion and love for teaching, bonds them in a special relationship with their students. Their gratification is good grades, moral values they strive to impart to students. However, in an evil turn of events, a wicked lady, Kamini Gupta (Divya Dutta) gets appointed as the principal, thus changing the fate of the administration.

Fan - World Premiere of Trailer

Fan is an upcoming 2016 Indian film directed by Maneesh Sharma and featuring Shah Rukh Khan in the lead role. The film is produced by Aditya Chopra under the banner of Yash Raj Films. The film is scheduled for release on 15 April 2016.

For all Shah Rukh Khan fans, Fan will be a treat with the actor playing a twin role. While one would be a reigning superstar, the other role would be a lookalike. However, the film will have elements of humour and a series of incidents with mistaken identities and a comedy of errors is what follows. Knowing the dedication that Shah Rukh Khan works with for his films, the actor has already got involved in preparing for both the roles by trying out different avatars and recee for the film.

While the opening shot of the film will give a glimpse of both Shah Rukh Khans, the shot would be about the superstar celebrating his birthday outside his palatial residence Mannat and on the other hand, the other Shah Rukh Khan who portrays the role of Rahul will be seen watching the superstar in awe.

Though we are aware of the role Shah Rukh Khan would be playing, the name of the leading lady for the film is yet to be announced. From Sonam Kapoor to Parineeti Chopra, many names are being tossed around. However, last we heard that the two lucky ladies, who will be paired with the two Shah Rukh Khans, will be Ileana D'Cruz and Vaani Kapoor. Directed by Maneesh Sharma.

NEERJA - World Premiere of Trailer

The trailer for the real-life thriller NEERJA has just made its world premiere giving the first look at Sonam Kapoor tackling her most challenging role ever.  Also starring Shabana Azmi, the film brings to the big screen the true story of young Pan Am crew member Neerja Bhanot whose swift thinking and brave actions helped save the lives of 359 passengers and crew, all at the cost of her own life. NEERJA releases in theaters on February 19.

SYNOPSIS:

Neerja was hailed internationally as ‘the heroine of the hijack’ and posthumously became the youngest recipient of India’s highest civilian honor for bravery, the Ashoka Chakra, and was bestowed the Flight Safety Foundation Heroism award by the United States, Tamgha–e-Insaaniyat (awarded for showing incredible human kindness) by Pakistan, Justice for Crimes Award by United States Attorney’s office for the District of Columbia, Special Courage Award by the U.S. government and the Indian Civil Aviation Ministry’s Award. This is a portrayal of Neerja’s strength, courage and sacrifice and an attempt to bring before the world this lesser known Indian hero’s story, so that she becomes an example and inspiration to young girls all over for generations to come.

Wazir opens in theatres on January 8, 2016!

Iconic actor Amitabh Bachchan teams up with Farhan Akhtar in the new dramatic thriller WAZIR which will kick off the new year releasing in North American theaters on January 8. The subtitled theatrical trailer gives a full look at this exciting new film.

SYNOPSIS:

'Wazir' is a tale of two unlikely friends, a wheelchair-bound chess grandmaster and a brave ATS officer, brought together by grief and a strange twist of fate. Teen activist and Nobel Laureate Malala Yousafzai sits down for an interview with Oprah Winfrey to talk about her life and her new documentary film HE NAMED ME MALALA which released in theaters nationwide on Friday, October 9, 2015. 

A fighter for equal education for all, Malala talks to Oprah about the injustice young girls face in so many countries when it comes to having access to basic schooling.

Shaandaar releases in North America TONIGHT!

Bollywood superstars Shahid Kapoor and Alia Bhatt give an inside look at how they made their new romantic comedy SHAANDAAR in the behind-the-scenes video. 

Releasing in theaters this Thursday, October 22, the quirky wedding planner comedy comes from “Queen” director Vikas Bahl and features numerous hit songs that have lit up the music charts this fall season.

SYNOPSIS:

A big fat “Shaandaar” Indian wedding, which is actually a business merger between two of the biggest business families of India, is happening at an exotic castle in Europe. Mrs. Kamla Arora, the grandmother of the Arora family, the sole owner of the billion-dollar business and the property, has planned their wedding. Kamla Arora treats everyone like her servants including her three sons, Bipin (the eldest), Vipul and Vinay. Mr. Fandwani, the groom’s father, is a loud Sindhi businessman who is the counter to Kamla Arora: The Fandwanis dress in gold, accessorize in gold and if possible they drink and eat gold.

Based against the backdrop of the Shaandaar wedding is a love triangle between the protagonists - Aliya and Jagjinder Joginder and Bipin (Aliya’s father). Bipin believes there’s no guy that will be good enough for his daughter while Aliya is a dreamer but her dreams are whacked out and Jagjinder Joginder is a doer, he can make anything happen! And for obvious reasons, Bipin hates Jagjinder Joginder. The journey of Aliya, Jagjinder Joginder and Bipin in the chaotic and lavish wedding is the story of Shaandaar. It’s a fairy tale love story that everyone has always dreamt of.

This Diwali: Prem Ratan Dhan Payo!

After 16 years, Bollywood superstar Salman Khan reunites with director Sooraj Barjatya (Maine Pyar Kiya, Hum Saath Saath Hain) for the movie event of the year – the epic love story PREM RATAN DHAN PAYO hitting North American theaters this Diwali season on November 12.

Synopsis:

A king, who is loved by his subjects, wants to lead a normal life away from all the responsibilities and his kingdom, while his step brother plans to steal the throne from him. But things are changed when the king finds out the common man who looks exactly like him and they change their identities with each other temporarily.
