Isn't that a great question? Being an expert IN the health & wellness field, I've heard many explanations and definitions as to what 'wellness' actually is. Undoubtedly, there is a global trend towards it - as people look at quality of life, prevention and making lifestyles choices that promote the notion of wellness.
Well if you were ever wondering what it means, look no further - here is how some of the world's experts define "Wellness":
The National Wellness Institute defines wellness as "”… an active process of becoming aware of and making choices toward a more successful existence.” Arizona State University has a comprehensive definition: “Wellness is an active, lifelong process of becoming aware of choices and making decisions toward a more balanced and fulfilling life. Wellness involves choices about our lives and our priorities that determine our lifestyles.” Great one! Isn't it so true - it is a lifelong process, it involves decision-making, seeking balance and fulfillment and those choices will form our lifestyle. The Merriam-Webster online dictionary defines wellness as "The quality or state of being in good health especially as an actively sought goal." Yes - health & wellness are intimately tied together - you cannot have good health without making choices that enhance your well-being. Lastly, economist Paul Zane Pilzer, says wellness is “not a fad or trend, it's about a new and infinite need infusing itself into the way we ear, exercise, sleep, work, save, age, and almost every other aspect of our lives... The sickness business is reactive... The wellness business is proactive.” In my view, wellness is all these definitions together. It is doing everything you can to make choices To me, the keywords are here are - 'Process' - we never arrive at an absolute endpoint or where there is no room for improvement. 'Aware' means we are seeking more knowledge and self-reflections to improve. 'Choices' - we have considered many options and then select those which are in our best interest. 'Success' - each person will define what a successful existence means to them.
that lead to a healthy, vibrant lifestyle that improves your overall health & well-being - physically, chemically and emotionally. Choosing the right foods, exercising, drinking water, getting ample sleep, using supplemention, embarking on a regular schedule of wellness care - be it chiropractic, acupuncture, massage or all three - the bottom line is, each of these lifestyle choices will lead you to a greater quality of life. With havin so much written content do you ever run into any problems of plagorism or copyright infringement? Their unique banding usually becomes more visible when the rocks are polished and cut a little bit, and not always visible to the naked eye. Some of the missions can get pretty challenging but not enough to keep the players interest. Even the brightly colored hats and vests are an effort to improve safety.
