Celebrate India Day with Panorama India on Saturday August 13th 2011 at Yonge+Dundas Square. As a celebration of India's 65th year of Independence, India Day 2011 will feature over eight hours of entertainment and a Grand Parade down Yonge Street. Enjoy patriotic songs; hit songs from regional languages; a Grand Parade with colorful floats; Flag Hoisting; "Breakaway" stars on stage; Jassi Sidhu and Shweta Subram at the mike; Indian food; shopping; and much, much more.

Patriotic songs, flag hoisting and Grand Parade
Join us for patriotic songs at 9:30 am followed by a flag raising ceremony, singing of the national anthem, and the Grand Parade. The 2 km parade will feature 10 floats and thousands of marchers. Many dignitaries and celebrities are expected to march with the Parade.
Cultural performances by community groups
Just after we return from the parade at 12:45pm, many community groups will present stellar performances on the open stage at Yonge+Dundas Square. Come celebrate and take pride in the enormous talent of the Indo-Canadian community.
Jassi Sidhu and Shweta Subram on stage – sponsored by Breakaway the movie
Jassi, fondly remembered for his score on Bend it Like Beckham, Sidhu has also sung for Breakaway. Shweta recently performed at IIFA and needs no introduction to Torontonians. They will perform from 5pm onwards.
