Cricket with a Cause :: An active & healthy lifestyle, and multiculturalism. FREE Community Celebration of Cricket, Culture and Cinema!
Corporate Canada Cricket Club, a Not-for-Profit, is an enabling platform for the establishment and promotion of cricket in the Corporate Sector and Communities and as such it creates linkages between Cricket and the Community Services in partnership with the charity partners, Heart & Stroke Foundation and Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, and the presenting partner, CIBC. We foster partnerships with other cricket organizations and municipalities to produce joint events.
The objectives of the Mayors’ Cricket Festivals are as follows:
- Create awareness for cricket infrastructure growth—new fields, indoor fields and flood lights, cricket programs through the community centers, and engagement of the corporate sector
- Provide a platform to the charity partners, Heart & Stroke Foundation and Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, to show-case their programs and services to the communities in the Durham and Peel Regions, in general, and Ajax, Brampton, and Mississauga, in particular, and
- Encourage youth and adults to adopt sports (cricket) as a vehicle for an active and healthy lifestyle and diversity, and show-case their batting, bowling, wicket keeping, and fielding skills on the field.
