According to Reuters.com, Mick Jagger has joined up with the likes of famed Indian Composer A.R Rahman, songstress Joss Stone, Eurythmics member Dave Stewart and Reggae artist Damian Marley, to form a new supergroup by the name of SuperHeavy.
The group is currently working on their yet-untitled debut album, with their first single "Miracle Worker" due out in September. Universal Records will release the album in North America, while A&M will handle the release worldwide.
The recordings themselves took place in various studios all over the world including France, Cyprus and India, and were put together in a span of three weeks in Los Angeles.
The band came together in 2004, when Jagger and Stewart were curious as to how different sounds from around the world would sound, if fused together. After meeting other artists who shared the same interests, SuperHeavy was born.
One song on the upcoming album titled "Satyameva Jayate" (which translates into "the truth alone triumphs") has Jagger singing in Urdu on an A.R. Rahman production.
The group has also released a trailer for the project, which can be viewed here:
From the looks of this project, this is definitely something that any music lover should look out for, when it is released in the fall.

I just sent this post to a bunch of my friends as I agree with most of what you’re saying here and the way you’ve presented it is awesome.

Don E. Mann is an online producer for the Daily Press and loves to dance. When he's not spending time with his wife, Conni, and 9-year-old daughter, he's probably teaching martial arts and pretending he's George St. Pierre or reading a good book. He also really, really likes soft sugar cookies.
