We've talked before about the French love affair with India (honestly, who can blame 'em). First there was Cartier and now Hermes, the luxury french retailer, has decided to launch a limited edition series of sarees exclusively for the Indian market (can I get a Birkin bag with that?). Considering many of their beautiful silk scarves have often displayed Indian influences it's about time they went one step further. With sarees in the collection ranging from $6,100 to $8,200, they may be a little out of this DFF's price range - its always good to dream BIG I say (dream big or go home). The limited edition sarees are only available at their Mumbai store, and Hermes is being a little tight lipped on whether they will continue the collection. I'm guessing if they know the Indian market, they'll be giving some of our designers a run for their money (two for the show...).
