Punjabi MC isn’t the only one that’s got you singing about Morni’s. Peacock-inspired creations are everywhere! And if you are like me, you grew up in an era where everyone you knew had a vase full of peacock feathers somewhere in their house, probably next to their plastic covered sofa’s, but hey - that’s a whole other situation on its own. I’m glad to report that our feathered-friends are back and now with a fashion focus.
This trend has been quite noticeable in wedding decor over the past few years, but it recently started creeping up in India exploding with shades of green’s and vibrant blue’s that took over Indian clothes with a bold print of a peacock right smack in the center of a suit or on the pallah of a saree. Like wildfire this trend quickly spread to jewelry – subtle or obvious, you were bound to see this in many fashion outlets. Mind you feathers were one thing, we’ve seen those around for awhile, but now actual peacock designs were emerging onto the scene and not only in the Indian market but also in the mainstream Western market too which is always kinda cool to see.
